Ian Michael Bollinger
Ian Michael Bollinger is an Entheogen Research Scientist, Alchemist, and Archivist for the Sacred Garden Community. An avid supporter for the Decriminalize Nature movement in both Oakland and abroad, he has volunteered his time for multiple cities’ initiatives to ensure smart discussions
about entheogenic plant medicines are being had. Formally educated in both philosophy and science, both of these disciplines inform his belief that when it comes to entheogens, the most important lesson is to say “‘Know’, not ‘No’.” He believes that it is of utmost importance for people to have both the experience these medicines provide, but also the knowledge of what they are consuming and that the medicines are safe to consume. It was this that first lead him to the cannabis industry, where he was able to learn many important lessons on how natural products are handled within a scientific and bureaucratic space. Always wanting the easiest access to the best natural medicine for everyone, Ian believes in the Sacred Garden Community’s mission to not only safeguard ancestral practice, but also the space needed for these medicines to flourish.
